Park Lock Box

Roseneath Park now has a lock box with a shed key inside. It's a real estate agent type lock box that opens with a combination.

The lock box is attached to the fence behind the shed, near the blue and black bins, on the north east end of the park. It's not a very conspicuous spot, so that it is less likely to be tampered with, but in close proximity to the shed.

If you would like to know the combination so that you can access the shed tools and hose - to water the trees and flowerbeds or work in the garden at your convenience, please contact me.
We will not be sharing the combination widely, rather only on request, to ensure the shed and its contents stay secure.

Please join us every other Wednesday evening (6:30) for community gardening or contact me to learn the combination of the lock box.

Thanks again to those who contributed to the purchase of the lock box.

Painting in the Shade

It's a great day to make some art in the park! We are using recycled cans to make painted totems for our garden. Thanks to VIBE Arts for Children and Youth for organizing and facilitating this great project.
The creativity continues until 4:00 today.

April Fools

So when they said "Polar Vortex" in the forecast, did you think it was an April Fool's joke too?

The snow is sure to melt away soon and plans are in the works for the 2016 season. The Friends of Roseneath Park will once again participate in the city's annual Community Clean Up which is scheduled for Saturday April 23 at 10 a.m. Please join us to lend a helping hand and tell us what you'd like to see at Roseneath Park this season.
See you at the park!
