The Big Thaw

The sun is shining, and although it's still chilly outside, we can expect to see the daffodils and crocuses popping up at Roseneath Park soon.  (Look for them on the west slope and the south strip behind the playground!)
Seating in the sun... we'll be seeing green soon.

Ash tree stump - it was a hard winter!

And that means it's the time of year to start planning clean ups and planting.  Friends of Roseneath Park will once again participate in the annual city wide Community Clean Up Day which will take place on Saturday April 26, at 10:30 a.m.   Come out with the whole family - and don't forget your gloves for the dirty work.

Finally, kudos to the one fantastic, anonymous community member who did a stellar job cleaning up the park as soon as the ice thawed.  Thank you for making it a better place for all park users!  We all know how gross parks can be after months of neglect and this mystery person took it upon themselves to clean up Roseneath pronto and make it a pleasant and clean place to enjoy the first days of spring.

Now, lets get outside and enjoy our patch of the great outdoors that is Roseneath Park after the hardest winter in years!
